As a Director of Finance at Vi, you'll oversee the company’s accounting and financial planning & analysis functions, managing a finance team based in Israel and in the US. This role is responsible for core financial operations, monthly and quarterly close, financial reporting, internal controls, and budgeting and forecasting. The Director will operate as a hands-on finance leader and a key partner to the EVP of Finance and the broader executive team.

This position requires strong technical accounting expertise, FP&A leadership, and the ability to effectively manage and coordinate a distributed team while supporting a fast-growing business.

Responsibilities

Finance Team Leadership

  • Lead and manage a distributed Accounting and FP&A organization, including a remote team in Israel and a U.S.-based bookkeeper, with clear ownership across Controllership, FP&A, and day-to-day accounting.
  • Establish and enforce operating cadences, deadlines, and accountability to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality financial execution.

Accounting, Close & Controls

  • Lead the annual audit of the financial statements and coordinate preparation of Israeli and U.S. tax filings, working closely with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition, commission amortization, leases, intangible assets, and equity compensation (ESOP).
  • Maintain, document, and continuously strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes to support scale and audit readiness.
  • Own the company’s global tax strategy, including transfer pricing, Israeli and U.S. income tax compliance, and U.S. sales tax.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality monthly financial data.

FP&A

  • Monitor budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
  • Prepare variance analysis and performance reporting for the EVP of Finance and executive leadership
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic and operational decision-making
  • Track Key Metrics, such as ARR, NRR, GRR, Rule of 40, etc.

Operational Finance

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including billing, collections, and expense management
  • Support process improvements across finance and adjacent operational workflows
  • Step into high-priority finance initiatives as needed, including scaling systems and supporting transaction-related work

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience across accounting and FP&A
  • Prior experience as a Controller, Director of Finance, or similar senior finance roles
  • Experience managing remote or distributed finance teams
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, PayEm, Salesforce) and financial modeling tools (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred)
