As a Guru you will be accountable for:
- Lead the development and execution of consumer PR strategy & plan the delivers the company’s desired positioning towards consumers, media, industry for our leading Marketplaces in Malaysia – PropertyGuru and iProperty as well as new business that we launch in Malaysia.
- Use traditional, social media and non-traditional media and an integrated communications approach deliver PR objectives and in support of business, brand & marketing objectives.
- Ideation, development, and execution of PR campaigns that leverage proprietary data, content & create virality
- Lead relationship with Malaysia PR agencies and manage effective collaboration to deliver on the PR objectives.
- Manage & work closely with the company’s leadership and spokespeople in Malaysia
- Support Group’s corporate PR agenda in Malaysia including but not limited to building positioning as a Proptech and market leader via product PR, spokespeople interviews on market strategy and achievements, Group’s financial performance, trend-jacking opportunities, participation in industry forums, by-lined articles etc.
- Support the Group’s internal communications mandate for Malaysia and as needed for regional projects and campaigns. This includes but is not limited to country and regional townhalls, leadership outreach initiatives towards employees, and designing creative engagement programs for projects and launches.
- Work closely with country leadership & working teams across business / sales, product, technology, marketing, content teams to actively mine for internal and external stories.
- Identify and respond to media opportunities and risks in coordination with the regional team.
- Develop, create review required PR assets including releases, pitch notes, videos, editorial content, listicles, photo shoots etc.
- Develop local strategy and support internal & external communications during issues, crisis, change management, example: post-merger integrations; key personnel changes etc. to ensure minimal impact on business continuity, employee sentiment and media perception.
- Media monitoring, PR measurement & reporting and management of and contribution of internal communications channels such as intranet, TV screens.
What we are looking for
- A highly motivated, passionate communicator with relevant experience in communications, public relations, or marketing and / or internal communications.
- Experience in planning and executing Communications or Public Relations or Internal Communications that meet communication and business objectives:
- You should have prior experience working in an agency, as well as managing teams, projects and regional clients.
- Experience preferably in the Asia / Southeast Asia.
- Preferably has working experience of both internal & external communications.
- A bachelor's degree in journalism, Public Relations, Communications or equivalent working experience.
- Strategic writing and editing skills.
- Leadership in leading communications projects and managing with cross-functional working teams.
- The ideal candidate will have in-house or agency experience with demonstrated ability to ideate and implement communications campaigns.
- The successful candidate will be a results-driven and solutions-oriented individual; a person who has a can-do attitude, rises to the challenges and is able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well with multiple internal and external stakeholders
