About the role

We are looking for a dependable Communications Senior Executive who is eager to build a solid 360 communications portfolio, be exposed to integrated communications planning and implementation, and support regional activities for various stakeholders.

This person is the backbone of the Corporate Communications team—someone who can efficiently execute key communication functions to ensure seamless communications operations across the Group and significantly contribute to the team’s success.

This role reports to the Head of Communications and is part of the Corporate Communications team under the Group Marketing enabling function. Based in our Kuala Lumpur office, it is a regional role that supports both internal and external communications.

The person we are looking for is highly organised, detail-oriented, fast-paced, with excellent writing and communication skills. The person loves organising live events and thrives under the pressure that comes with it. Experience managing online/digital tools and platforms will get our attention.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute Group-level internal events such as company townhalls, including scheduling, agenda and messaging, speaker management, content curation, creative asset development, logistics preparation, and promotions.

  • Execute and support external events and campaigns where needed, such as media roundtables and campaigns roll outs.

  • Manage and maintain Group-level communications channels, tools, and platforms, such as the company intranet and newsletter, company website and newsroom, EDMs, ensuring they are regularly updated with the latest content. This includes editorial calendar planning, content writing & curation and liaising with content owners across the business, manage production and release.

  • Gather and develop internal stories from around the Group to feature on the intranet and other internal communications channels. Includes proactively scouting for story ideas by reaching out to key stakeholders, doing research and interviews to produce compelling and insightful internal stories, and internally promoting these stories.

  • Manage the use of Group-level online and digital tools and platforms such as SharePoint, MS Teams, Zoom, Pigeonhole, Braze, corporate website CMS.

  • Support the always-on communications calendar, which includes leadership outreach activities, live events and media events as needed.

  • Manage quotation procurement, invoice processing, budget updating, creative brief development, and other tasks for events and always-on activities.

  • Support all Group-level communication campaigns as needed.

What we are looking for

Someone with a background in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing.

  • Relevant working experience in planning and executing communications in the APAC region, ideally in Southeast Asia.

  • A bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or equivalent working experience.

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.

  • Leadership in managing internal communications projects and cross-functional working teams.

  • The ideal candidate will have in-house or agency experience with demonstrated ability to ideate and implement communications projects.

  • The successful candidate will be a results-driven and solutions-oriented individual; a person who has a can-do attitude, rises to the challenges and is able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work well with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, you will work closely with the communications team to help deliver our strategy, hence you will get a kick out of managing multiple initiatives. What we are looking for from you:
