About Us

Pluang is Indonesia’s leading multi-asset investment platform, offering products such as Indonesian Stocks, Crypto, US Stocks, Mutual Funds, and Gold. Our mission is to make investing accessible, seamless, and secure, so more Indonesians can achieve financial independence.

As Pluang continues to grow across products and markets, the way we manage and understand our data becomes increasingly important. Our teams work across data, finance, product, and technology to make sure we have the right information to make better business decisions.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business & Data Analytics Intern based in Jakarta to help us improve how we use data across the business.

You will work closely with the FP&A, Data, Product, Engineering, and other business teams to help clean and structure data, improve existing processes, migrate reporting and workflows, and turn data into actionable insights.

This is a hands-on role. You will not just be preparing reports or updating spreadsheets. You will help us understand how data flows through the business, identify where things can be improved, and build better ways for teams to work with financial and product information.

You will have the opportunity to work on real business problems, from understanding the source of a number in a financial report to building analysis that helps stakeholders make better decisions.

What You Will Do

1. Help build clean and reliable data flows

  • Work with different teams to understand where financial and product data comes from and how it flows into reporting.

  • Help clean, validate, and structure data from multiple sources.

  • Identify inconsistencies, manual adjustments, and gaps in existing processes.

  • Help improve data definitions so that Finance, Accounting, Data, and business teams are working from the same numbers.

  • Document data sources, business logic, and processes so they are easier to understand and maintain.

2. Support data migration and process automation

  • Help migrate existing reports, workflows, and manual processes into more structured and scalable systems.

  • Work with the team to map existing processes and identify opportunities for automation.

  • Help build or improve data pipelines, dashboards, and internal tools.

  • Make existing workflows simpler, more transparent, and easier to maintain.

  • Work on real problems where the data, process, and business logic may not always be perfectly clean.

3. Turn data into actionable insights

  • Analyze financial and product data to answer real business questions.

  • Build analysis around revenue, costs, AUM, transactions, product performance, and other key business metrics.

  • Help stakeholders understand not only what happened, but also why it happened and what we can do about it.

  • Build dashboards, reports, and analyses that help teams monitor performance and make better decisions.

  • Translate analytical findings into clear and actionable insights for stakeholders.

4. Work across teams to solve real business problems

  • Collaborate with FP&A, Data, Product, Engineering, Operations, and other teams.

  • Help translate business questions into data requirements and analytical solutions.

  • Learn how different parts of a fintech business connect, from product transactions all the way to financial reporting.

  • Take ownership of projects and work with stakeholders to bring them from problem definition to implementation.

  • Communicate your findings and ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You Will Need

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related quantitative field.

  • Comfortable working with data, numbers, and analytical problems.

  • Basic experience with SQL and/or Python is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Able to work with messy or ambiguous problems and structure them into clear steps.

  • Good attention to detail, especially when working with financial and business data.

  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work with different teams.

  • Curious about how data, technology, and finance come together to drive business decisions.

It Would Be Great If You Have

  • Experience working with SQL, Python, spreadsheets, or BI tools.

  • Experience building dashboards or working on data analysis projects.

  • Interest in fintech, investing, financial products, or business analytics.

  • Experience working with data from multiple sources.

  • Experience automating repetitive tasks or improving existing processes.

  • A mindset of asking “why?” rather than simply accepting the numbers as they are.

Why This Internship?

You will get exposure to how a fast-growing fintech actually operates behind the scenes.

You will work on real problems involving financial data, product data, reporting, automation, and business decision-making, rather than working on an isolated internship project.

You will also have the opportunity to work closely with different teams and see how a transaction made by a user eventually becomes data, financial reporting, and ultimately a business decision.

If you enjoy figuring out messy problems, working with data, building things, and seeing your work make an impact, this could be a great place to start.

Note:

This is a 3–6 month internship based in Jakarta. The role requires 3 days per week in the office.
