Role Overview
The PPGR Manager is responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with policy makers and associations to implement and advocate for policies that align with the organization's goals and interests. Essentially the goal is to provide an early warning system within the defined Service Level Agreements, enabling timely communication to management and relevant teams about potential and new regulatory developments that could impact our business.
Responsibilities:
Assessment of potential regulatory issues impacting our organization, along with the development of a strategic advocacy plan. This includes identifying key challenges, outlining clear steps for resolution, and establishing a contingency plan to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance.
Design a Stakeholder Mapping Report that outlines key policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and third-party organizations to strategically identify and categorize stakeholders, enabling us to develop and maintain strong relationships that support our advocacy efforts and effectively drive our advocacy as well as advance our policy agenda.
The ability to interpret and translate complex regulations into clear, concise, and actionable information that can be easily understood by all departments, while collaborating with the compliance team to ensure effective implementation and regulatory adherence
Manage public policy projects involving cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
Supporting team for administrative matters.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in working on financial policy issues within government, think tanks, public interest groups, or relevant industry associations. Working experience as government official / SROs / associations / media in the financial sector is a plus.
Have moderate to advanced understanding about the financial sector and its ecosystem. A financial professional license, such as WAPERD or WPPE, is a plus.
Experience in managing advocacy projects and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
Ability to speak and write in English and Bahasa fluently.
Excellent communicator and presentation skills in translating complex issues into simple language suitable for a range of audiences.
Strategic thinking skills combined with creativity and inquisitive mindset in light of solving complex problems.
Comfortable with meetings outside the office or even traveling out of town.
