Neara is a high-growth utility software company headquartered in Sydney, Australia with offices in the EU and USA. We have secured Series B funding and are backed by some of the best investors in Australia. Overall, we have around 85 employees including our delivery-focused team in Vilnius, Lithuania. Our mission is to revolutionise the utilities industry by helping them future-proof their infrastructure and navigate the challenges of the clean energy transition. Our 3D digital network model enables utilities to simulate various scenarios and make informed decisions to protect their assets and communities.

As Neara's Senior Implementation Specialist you will join our Delivery team who are passionate about helping our clients to efficiently use and gain the most relevant insights out of the Neara platform. This will be an entirely remote role to primarily support our Greek clients, although your role will collaborate closely with the entire delivery team as well as interact with our Australia and US teams (product, sales and development teams). We are very transparent and the communication lines are open regardless of role or level, allowing us to get things done quickly, keeping in mind quality standards at all times.

Our training is fast paced, designed to make you an expert on the Neara platform and empowering you to get heavily involved in key projects that will drive actionable insights for our clients. You can expect a strong collaboration with the Head of Delivery to ensure project quality and on-time delivery. You will also have the opportunity to improve and automate our processes along the way and to provide mentoring to Implementation Specialists and System Analysts.

Some of the things you will contribute to (not all at once):

  • Configuring projects, ensuring the integration of our system for utility/geospatial clients
  • Build reports and dashboards for effective data analytics and tracking, ensure Neara’s system is adapted to client’s requirements
  • Conceiving efficient workflows for delivery projects with focus on automation, ensuring efficient handling of large datasets
  • Identify and prioritize improvements that would enhance the project’s speed by partnering with engineering and product teams
  • Detect inaccuracies in the digital twin and reconfigure the auto-modeling and dependencies to GIS, LiDAR or other non-spatial databases available to enhance reliability in the related reports
  • Analyze client requests or issues (specific to delivery/pre-sales projects) and identify new innovative opportunities for that implementation project
  • Provide mentorship and training to Implementation Specialists and System Analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill refinement.

Some attributes we highly regard:

  • Experience with Python/other scripting languages or handling ETL engine workflows
  • Experience with databases, proficiency in logical, lookup and reference functions
  • Proven experience of system implementations, integrations, technical project delivery
  • Interested in spatial reasoning and working with 2D / 3D data, essential for our advanced spatial functions
  • Proven interest in Mathematics / Statistics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Geographical Information Systems or a related field

You will need to have:

  • A degree qualification
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek (Please submit your application in English)
  • Experience having worked with a cloud-based software solution
  • Experience in GIS/CAD geoprocessing and / or LiDAR

What are we offering you?

  • The opportunity to fast-track your career within an innovative, well-funded, rapidly scaling international software company. You can bring your creativity when solving complex problems and make a real impact on our business by helping us improve our processes and functionalities.
  • Open-minded, cooperative and proactive people - so your opinions will be heard and you’ll have the opportunity to really make a difference.
  • A dynamic work environment, with an exceptional leadership team, vision and mission and high-performance culture.
  • Competitive salary + ESOP
