Job description
Exodigo is in search of a System Engineer.
your key responsibilities will be :
- Define and document comprehensive system requirements based on project needs and stakeholder input.
- Maintain ownership of those requirements throughout the project, ensuring they are implemented correctly, upheld across disciplines, and reflected in the final system behaviour.
- Develop and maintain detailed system architecture and design documentation.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, mechanical, algorithm, and software teams to ensure integrated and optimized system performance.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design reviews and technical discussions.
- Plan and execute system integration activities, ensuring compatibility and functionality of all components.
- Develop and implement rigorous system-level testing protocols to characterize and validate system performance.
- Analyze test data and provide detailed reports on system performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Drive prototype development for feature evaluation, working hands-on to test and refine designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, applying high-level problem-solving skills and debugging techniques.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, integrating relevant advancements into system designs.
- Take responsibility for the full lifecycle of the system, from requirement definition to field validation, and resolve any cross-disciplinary issues that prevent the system from meeting its intended performance.
Requirements
- Background in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a closely related field.
- Experience working on multidisciplinary physical systems that combine hardware, sensing, software, and mechanical elements.
- Familiarity with defining system requirements and tracing them through design, integration, and testing.
- Ability to work across multiple engineering domains and understand how changes in one area affect the whole system.
- Competence in debugging system issues where the cause is unclear or spread across hardware, mechanics, embedded software, or signals.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment, measurement tools, prototypes, and real system behavior.
- Experience contributing to system-level testing or validation setups, not just isolated component tests.
- Ability to make technical decisions with incomplete data and explain the reasoning clearly.
- Strong communication skills, especially in documenting system behavior and technical constraints.
- Comfort working in an environment where prototypes evolve quickly and problems aren’t cleanly scoped.
- A structured approach to engineering work and problem solving.
