About the role
You will independently perform all ultrasounds of diagnostic quality with due regard to patient care, clinical responsibility, radiation protection and effective use of technology. Your role will include supervising junior sonographers, leading Quality Improvement projects and coordinating with other staff and clinicians on radiographic-related issues. You will also be responsible for quality control programmes and maintenance of imaging equipment and accessories.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct ultrasound scans of internal organs, soft tissues, and blood flow within the body.
- Can perform at least one or more advanced ultrasound techniques eg. MSK, Groin, Transvaginal scans, abdominal wall, etc.
- Collect and analyse patient scans, ensuring that each scan is of the highest quality and meets the required standards.
- Uploading detailed images and worksheets to PACS for reporting.
- Adhere to safe work practices especially in radiation safety and infection control
- Conduct training and coaching of junior sonographers
- Render prompt and courteous service delivery to external and internal customers
- Handle difficult situations like patients’ complaints and queries within the department / section promptly and effectively
- Ensure efficient patient turnaround time per examination
- Plan, organise and prioritise assigned tasks such that all are completed effectively and on time
- Maintain and upkeep a section with efficient work performance
- Ensure physical environment and ambience of work place adheres to corporate standards
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the reporting officer
Job Requirements
- Qualified Sonographer with relevant Certification or Degree with at least 4 years of experience in Singapore
- Diploma/ Degree in Radiography from a recognized institution and AHPC Certification will be an added advantage
- Mature and possess a strong sense of commitment and dedication
- Able to work in a team or independently with minimum supervision
- Able to present a professional image and deliver top-quality customer service
