- Review and validate payroll inputs including timekeeping data, allowances, deductions and statutory contributions.
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws, tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements across ASEAN markets.
- Oversee month-end payroll reconciliation, ensuring payroll data aligns with finance reporting and GL requirements.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex payroll queries and provide guidance to local teams or vendors.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to streamline workflows, strengthen governance and drive operational excellence.
- Identify and implement payroll process enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy and employee experience.
- Support and/or lead regional People Operations initiatives, system improvements, and policy rollouts.
- Provide mentorship and operational guidance to the junior team members where needed.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, ideally with regional or multi-country exposure within ASEAN.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex payroll operations and implement process improvements.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and statutory compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and resilient in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- A proactive problem-solver with a growth mindset - always looking for smarter, more scalable ways to deliver impact.
- A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zones and take on new challenges.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to learn new things - we’re not done growing, and heading into uncharted territories is part of the fun!
