About the team

Our Commercial team is a pivotal component of Doctor Anywhere. We're a tenacious group in charge of a wide range of business development and strategic partnership initiatives. Our primary job is to establish and expand our collaboration with insurance providers, healthcare agencies and corporate clients in order to provide healthcare to employees and the community.

About the Role

We are searching for a results-driven and relationship-oriented Business Development Manager to join our growing Employee Benefits team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for securing new corporate healthcare business across a range of services, by collaborating closely with our network of insurer and broker partners.

This includes new corporate TPA (Third Party Administration) accounts, as well as driving sales for our corporate wellness solutions including health screening packages, executive health screening services, and corporate vaccination programs. You will work strategically with the business development teams within our partner organizations to drive the acquisition of new corporate clients.

This role is based in Singapore

A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows:

  • New Business Acquisition: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with insurers and brokers across our full suite of corporate offerings:
  • Secure new corporate TPA accounts.
  • Drive sales for corporate health screening packages.
  • Secure new clients for executive health screening services at our DA Orchard Medsuites location.
  • Win contracts for corporate vaccination programs.
  • Partner Relationship Management: Build and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders within our insurer and broker partner network, working collaboratively to generate leads and close deals.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage a robust pipeline of new business opportunities across all product lines, accurately forecasting revenue and progressing deals through the sales cycle effectively.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute tailored sales strategies for each insurer and broker partner, leveraging their existing relationships and distribution channels to promote our full range of services.
  • Product Expertise: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Doctor Anywhere's suite of employee benefits products and services, including telehealth consultations, mental health care, corporate health screenings, vaccinations, and our executive health screening centre.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, competitive activity, and industry best practices within the employee benefits space, specifically within the TPA landscape and corporate wellness market.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work cross-functionally with internal teams, including operations, product, and account management, to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing support for newly acquired clients.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of proven experience in a business development or sales role within the insurance, healthcare, or employee benefits industry, with a strong track record of exceeding targets.
  • Demonstrated experience in securing new corporate accounts, ideally within the TPA space and/or corporate wellness market.
  • Existing relationships with key decision-makers at insurers and brokers in Singapore are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation, closing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zones and take on new challenges.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to learn new things - we’re not done growing, and heading into uncharted territories is part of the fun!
