Our Finance department is a fundamental part of Doctor Anywhere and plays a major role in ensuring the company's financial stability. We are responsible for advising management on financial decisions that have a far reaching impact on the company's future.

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Manager who will be in charge of day-to-day finance operations for our Philippines entities.

The ideal candidate will have a mindset of continuous improvement and change and will demonstrate curiosity, collaboration and the ability to deal with ambiguity especially in a start-up environment. You are passionate about providing excellent internal client support across the entire organization and have some prior experience in accounting and audit.

This role is based in Philippines and reports directly to the Group Financial Controller from the Singapore head office.

A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows :

• Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, revenue recognition, taxation, financial closing and reporting
• Deliver accurate and timely statutory / management reports and financial analysis
• Participate in the Budgeting and Forecasting exercise for the business
• Partner with Operations Team by providing financial insight where required
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretary, local tax and government authorities as required
• Ensure compliance with Local GAAP, Tax and any other statutory requirements
• Support the Group Finance to review, recommend and carry out improvements to accounting systems and procedures
• Other duties, responsibilities and functions may be assigned by superior from time to time

About you

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or higher with minimum 10 years of relevant accounting and/or audit experience, preferably working in similar capacity
• Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant preferred
• Experience in Big 4 audit firm and/or healthcare industry would be an added advantage
• Sound technical knowledge in both local and international accounting principles and taxation
• Proficiency in relevant software and Accounting ERP system, preferably Microsoft Office/G-suite and Oracle NetSuite
• Well organized and detail-oriented as well able to work independently
• Strong written and verbal communication
• A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zones and take on new challenges
• Comfortable with ambiguity - we're a fast-growing business and there are always unchartered territories, which is part of the fun! You should be comfortable with it and understand that not everything is 100% defined all the time
