CAIS is seeking a Director to join the Investments team, responsible for engaging with the firm’s alternative asset manager relationships and delivering on key objectives. Qualified candidates will have relationship management experience with alternative investment firms, related go-to-market and fundraising experience to support the objectives of CAIS asset manager partnerships. You are passionate about serving your client's needs, understand a diverse range of technical investment products, and enjoy distilling complex concepts into digestible language that facilitates sales enablement/engagement activities. Strong written and verbal communication is imperative, as the role requires constant communication with a wide range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Cover key asset manager relationships and enhance alignment with CAIS
  • Provide CAIS solution set, key insights, guidance, and trends to asset manager relationships to enhance their success in the independent wealth management channel
  • Onboard new relationships, by working collaboratively across the organization, and provide an efficient and seamless manager experience
  • Coordinate across the organization to deliver on manager objectives
  • Partner with fund managers to ensure satisfaction by identifying and understanding their needs, and providing value-add feedback and support to their distribution efforts
  • Create go to market strategy and engagement on newly launched fund to support the asset manager and CAIS
  • Join meetings with internal and external stakeholders to share fund expertise and speak to the merits of investments
  • Ensure unified sales messaging through providing regular updates, in partnership with the Research team, to the CAIS distribution team on portfolio positioning, macroeconomic themes, and key selling points in support of asset manager objectives
  • Support development of tailored product launch strategies and positioning, and product marketing collateral

Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of experience in financial markets with a strong focus in alternative investments, including hedge fund and/or private markets strategies required
  • Existing relationships with asset managers required
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Econ, Business, or Accounting
  • Series 7 & Series 63 (or Series 66) within 12 months of hire
  • Demonstrated progress in CFA, CPA, CAIA, CFP, and/or CIMA strongly preferred
  • Highly ambitious and collaborative self-starter with experience coordinating multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of personal integrity and ability to consistently deliver high quality work product
  • Advanced working knowledge of CRM systems

CAIS’ compensation package includes a market competitive salary, a performance bonus, and exceptional benefits. If you are located in New York, New York, the base salary range for this role is $175,000 - $225,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
